Spicy Queso Blanco Supreme

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces ground beef or spicy sausage, cooked
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces Pepper Jack cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces smoked Gouda, cubed
  • 1 container diced green chilies (7 ounces)
  • 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 6 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • ¾ cup half-and-half
  • ½ cup red onion, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare all ingredients by chopping and cubing as needed.
  3. Cook sausage or ground beef in a skillet and set aside.
  4. In an oven-safe baking dish, layer cream cheese, smoked Gouda, Pepper Jack, meat, chilies, jalapeño, cilantro, onion, and half-and-half.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes, or until fully melted.
  6. Stir well before serving.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Alternative Slow Cooker Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a slow cooker.
  2. Cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Top with chipotle Tabasco sauce before serving if desired.
