Smoked Picanha

Bring extra smoked flavor to this delicious Brazilian cut! Smoked Picanha is simple but effective! You will love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 picanha
  • Mustard
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Score the fat cap in a crisscross pattern. Trim excess fat if needed.
  2. Coat the picanha lightly with mustard.
  3. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Smoke until the internal temperature reaches 120°F (49°C), about 1 hour for a 2-pound cut.
  5. Remove from smoker and season again if desired.
  6. Slice against the grain into thick strips.
  7. Finish on a hot grill for about 5 minutes per side.
